Bailey and Christine are the proud new owners of Victorian Bridal as of November 2018! Bailey began working at the shop in June 2009 during college, and fell in love with the bridal industry, so much so that when the previous owner, Judy Bartel, jokingly said she should take over the store someday, the bug was planted.
Christine started working at Victorian Bridal in January 2013, probably not realizing what was going to come in her future! After a few years working together, Christine and Bailey grew to be close friends, and one day Bailey called Christine out of the blue while driving to work. "Do you want to be my partner? Let's do it, let's buy the bridal shop!" Christine agreed, and the rest is history.
Both Bailey and Christine are passionate about creating a personal experience for the customers, from new brides to prom shoppers. They strive to build upon the 25-year legacy of Victorian Bridal and carry it into the future. Both of the owners made the decision to dedicate themselves to making Victorian Bridal a destination worth visiting. They are in the bridal industry truly because they love it. And without love, what else would there be?
Christine grew up in Weyauwega and has made her home in the area of Waupaca since marrying her husband Ryan in 2004. With his love and support, along with that of her family, Christine was able to pursue this venture of becoming a bridal shop owner. Christine and Ryan have two awesome boys, three cats and a husky that keep their lives interesting! Christine also enjoys reading, sewing, and taking summer road trips with her family.
"When I started at Victorian Bridal, I was a stay at home mom and thought working a few hours a week would be great to get me out of the house. Little did I know, a part-time job would grow into a lifelong career. I have now learned to be a seamstress, and enjoy working with customers both finding their perfect dress, as well as achieving the perfect fit! I look forward to seeing you at our shop!"
Bailey grew up in Waupaca and graduated from UW-Stevens Point. With the support of a loving family, she was able to follow her dream and achieve her goal of being a bridal shop owner. She married the love of her life, Cody, in Stevens Point on December 1st, 2018, and of course, loved planning her wedding! Bailey, besides bridal, loves cats, reading, talking about history and hiking with Cody and her family.
"I absolutely love to talk weddings! I thrive on meeting new brides, and doing a bridal appointment with a new customer gives me life! I can't wait to meet you and help you find your gown! After all, I always say this is the most important piece of clothing you'll ever wear! And the second most important "yes" you'll say."
